My name is Austin,

I have spent most of this summer at Boys and Girls Club Voyager Camp going on fun field trips with my staff and my friends. So far, we have gone to Bite of Seattle, the Museum of Flight, Nintendo’s offices, and a ton of cool beaches and parks. The staff always have games to play with us and I love swimming when we go to the beach.

This summer I got really good at swimming while we were at Samena, where we received free swim lessons from their teachers. I passed the swim test every time when we went to a beach!

One of my other favorite activities takes place on Wednesday when we go to the Teen Center and play Badges for Baseball across the street. I usually play center field and I made an outfield catch last week! Everyone was high fiving me and telling me good job.

This summer has been great! I want to share some of the fun things I got to do because not every kid gets to go to summer camp. Every day I go to camp I feel lucky that I get to have fun with friends and staff that care about me.

My name is Kyle. I go to the Boys and Girls Club after school and for summer camp.

Last summer was my favorite summer because I was finally old enough to go on field trips everyday with my staff and friends. We went to the beach, Wild Waves, and made roasted marshmallows.

My favorite field trip was going to a big exercise gym with my entire group where they taught us new exercises. I love to play soccer and exercising is a good way for me to get better at soccer.

Not every kid gets to go to summer camp so I feel lucky that I get to spend my summer going on field trips with my friends. This is going to be another fun summer because I like the staff and will get to go on more fun field trips.

My name is Le’Von,  I go to Boys and Girls Club after school and am in the fourth grade.

I’ve been going to the Club since I was in Kindergarten. I’ve known all the kids at the Club for almost my whole life. I love summer camp because we get to spend longer days at Boys and Girls Club and play outside more. We also get to go on fun field trips and do fun things like cooking, group art projects, and water balloon fights!

My favorite thing about Boys and Girls Club is the staff. Kirstin, Markeese, Carlos, Lillie, Paula and Zoe look out for me and my friends. We play a lot of games together like four square and DANCE CENTRAL. We have a new clubhouse that is a lot bigger than our old Clubhouse so we have more room to move around and have fun.

This summer is going to be the best summer yet, I just know it!

My name is Dante, I am 7 years old and I go to the Boys and Girls Club for afterschool and summer camp.

I love going to the Club and learning new games in the Tech Center. I can’t wait to go to the Zoo this summer. I also hope I get to roast a marshmallow in a campfire and take trips to the beach!

My favorite staff members are Ricky, Leslie, and Catherine. They teach me new games, help me learn how to read, feed me snacks, and listen to me.
